• Secured by Design–accredited FD30s options – selected Defendoor FD30s doorsets carry Secured by Design approval for police-preferred specification. 

In testing, Defendoor FD30 and FD60 doors have exceeded their minimum time ratings, offering extended protection beyond the stated 30 or 60 minutes – a crucial margin in a real fire. 

FD30 Fire Doors – High Performance as Standard

The Defendoor FD30 composite door is built around a high-density insulated core and a 44mm Distinction slab, delivering a rare combination of fire resistance, strength and thermal efficiency.

Key performance features include:

• Minimum 30-minute fire resistance – designed and tested to contain fire and smoke for at least 30 minutes, allowing occupants time to escape and emergency services to respond.

• Excellent A-rated energy efficiency – the insulated core and advanced slab construction provide A-rated thermal performance, surpassing many conventional composite doors with timber cores.

• Smoke control (FD30s) – FD30s variants include smoke seals and hardware configurations to limit smoke spread as well as flame.

• Outstanding weather protection – the composite construction, GRP skin and quality seals keep out wind, rain and drafts for long-term reliability.
